I sincerely hope you all have been staying safe and healthy within the past few months. I understand that many of us have been feeling extremely anxious and easily fatigued. With the world in chaos, it can truly feel difficult to stay rooted to our bodies. It is important and essential as beings to maintain positivity and growth during this time of uncertainty.
Recently, I’ve felt compelled to share my journey and safe haven through my love of practice. It has been a significant tool through this trial of challenges. It has given me the power to observe the world at a natural state - of being. Over the years, I’ve learned to accept that there will be a constant shift, a change, it is inevitable to stay the same, so we must surrender whole heartedly.
I first began my journey about 10 years ago, just after having my daughter. Although it felt as if my physical body was healed, it was not transmuting or light-giving. I was naive to think I had the strength, especially with the signs of trauma it was sending. I undervalued and often dismissed my own power to transform my very existence. I struggled to stand from seated positions, every movement caused my body to ache. I was weak. I had to reconnect with my divinity. That was when I turned to yoga, it transformed me physically and my life transpired. It has given me the ability to be richer, fuller and completely fulfilled with my truth. I found peace within myself. Although my practices at the beginning were never consistent, I knew I was always welcomed.
My passion began when I became creative and emotional, the little girl in me found her way back. Love and joy in its purest form. I knew that if it can become an essential part of my life, it could do the same for others. I’ve embraced my being with this practice, my intuition has become a divine sense and I have accepted every part of myself. I truly believe that anyone looking to find and create their magic, will be given the opportunity once you make that decision. It is important that we listen to our bodies and our minds, we must slow down, we must take full breaths, be alive through our freedom. Living in our modern society, slowing down to breathe is a luxury, our lives have become so fast paced that even blinking could feel like a lifetime. Eating our food at such a rapid pace, constant talking without an actual conversation. It is with great love that I say, you MUST invest in yourself, in your love, in your divinity. When was the last time you felt passionate? When was the last time you were at peace? When was the last time you accepted yourself, flaws and all?
In conclusion, I encourage you to now begin searching for your greater sense of purpose. An energy that already resonates inside of you.
